HBCU ORIGINAL INTERN ROLES (Summer/Fall 2025)

✅ 1. Editorial Intern (Writer)

Remote | Unpaid (with opportunities for portfolio building + recommendation)

We’re looking for sharp, passionate writers who want to help us tell the stories that shape Black excellence, HBCU pride, and campus culture.

Duties Include:

  • Writing articles, blogs, or profiles (1–2 per week)

  • Interviewing HBCU students, alumni, athletes, or leaders

  • Covering HBCU news, sports recaps, cultural events, or op-eds

  • Assisting with newsletters, podcast transcripts, or website content

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong writer with a unique voice

  • Interested in media, journalism, communications, or Black history/culture

  • HBCU student or alumni (preferred but not required)

  • Able to meet basic deadlines and communicate reliably

✅ 4. Campus Ambassador

On Your Campus | Volunteer or For-Credit Option

Be the bridge between your campus and HBCU Original. We want plugged-in student leaders who live the culture, breathe HBCU pride, and want to spotlight what’s happening in real time.

Duties Include:

  • Represent HBCU Original at your school

  • Submit weekly or monthly culture reports (events, style, sports, news)

  • Interview students or faculty for social clips or quick Q&As

  • Share our flyers, campaigns, and digital content on your campus

Ideal Candidate:

  • Involved in campus life (Greek, SGA, media orgs, sports, etc.)

  • Social media savvy (TikTok, IG, YouTube Shorts)

  • Comfortable conducting peer interviews and snapping event content

  • HBCU student (required)

What You’ll Gain:
